Bottle at home. Almost clear darker golden with big fluffy white head that doesn’t last very long. Soft pils malts, grassy hops, a touch of citrus peel, light dry yeasty notes with a bit of allspice, dry bread sticks. It’s quite subtle, except for the nice German pils style hop kick. Medium sweet and a bit over medium bitter. Medium bodied. Quite OK.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a misty golden orange, respectable white head. Aroma of soft, lightly sweet yeast, pale malts, citrus. Taste is fairly light, soft yeast, light malts, nice citrus hop bitterness. Essentially an accessible blonde with enough limey citrus to add a bit of character. It's worth noting that although this beer is inspired by the women & mothers who struggled through World War II, 10% of the profit from this beer goes towards a project in Afghanistan “Istalif” which gives women in the country the opportunity to build an independent livelihood. For that reason this gets a couple of extra points.

Sovereign tap: pours deep golden with a white head. Aroma is lightly Belgian yeasty, some mellow fruitiness, light spiciness. Not too heasy. Easy and kind of sweet. Not bad.

RBESG 2017, sampled on July 23, 2017 @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Pours clear golden, white foam. Light rubber nose, watery malts. Taste is a bit watery, fruity, some sweetness, carbonation. Dry finish. Simple beer, does not really impress me in any way.
