0,66l bottle at home from a trade shared by me. Vintage 2016. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of rum, earthy, licorice, bit boozy, nutty, marzipan, wood. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes marzipan, coconut, earthy, vanilla, licorice, rum, spices, wood, dried fruits. finishes rather balanced with a light roasty bitterness and notes of rum, vanilla and some coconut. very nice barrel treatment, very smooth to drink, very rum forward though. very nice one but not my kind of imperial stout. barrel notes a bit too dominant.

Bottle at the 10th Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. Dark brown pour with a smallish brown head. Sweet aroma of chocolate and espresso, vanilla and rum barrel notes. Silky and substantial body, big flavor of vanilla and chocolate with the rum barrel accent. Blended together seamlessly.

Bottle shared with Deanso. Pours near black with a thick, short lived, brown head. Massive aroma as soon as the bottle was popped of dark chocolate, boozy rum and oak barrel, fudge, molasses, light licorice notes, forest leaves and deal fruity, almost slight vinous notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter. Warming in the mouthfeel with a medium oily texture. Full bodied with a strange pleasant moderate prickly carbonation. First tick of 2015! :-)
