A dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, superb sweet vanilla fudge and chocolate malt, coffee grind, musty character, beautiful sweetness. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of alcohol warmth, vanilla, bourbon barrel, licorice notes, molasses, wonderful beer.

Bottle at Craig’s. Oh, mama! Pours jet black with a tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, liquorice, blackcurrant, vanilla, coconut. Taste is toffee, boozy vanilla, coconut, more dark chocolate roastiness. Finishes long in to the night. Cracking..

Growler thanks to hopscotch: Poured a dark thick brown with thin light brown head. Aroma was thick rum, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste was super rich with chocolate, loads of wood and rum gave this beer plenty of burn, roasted rich malts added to the backbone.

Bottle @ Armin’s palace, courtesy of markwise, thanks! Pours a dark brown appearance with a thin dark head. Tangy fruity, berry, vinous, roasted malty aroma. Tart, raspberry, blackberry fruity, chocolate, a touch smoky flavor. Unfortunately, this one is also infected, pass.

Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours dark blackish brown with no head worth mentioning. Smell is slightly sweet and malty with roasted malts, raisins, high quality dark chocolate, rum, charred wood, vanilla fudge, moist soil, sweet liquorice candy, hay and hints of roasted coconuts. Taste is tiny sweet and sour with roasted malts, lemon juice, dry apple cider, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, moist soil, charred wood, rum soaked raisins and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is round, velvety, creamy and near full bodied. finish is bitter and sour with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, lemon juice, dry apple cider, rum soaked raisins, burnt caramel and lemon zest. I can see how this could be a great beer, pity it’s infected!
