Tap at Kernel. Its a blend of various versions of barrel-aged stouts (Scanner Darkly, BA IBS & BA Stout) and tap only I believe. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasty, toast, chocolate, fudge, vanilla, toasted coconut, medicinal, whisky and treacle. The taste is smooth, roasty, wood, scortched earth, medicinal, treacle, milk chocolate, creamy, light bitterness, toast, nutmeg and whisky with a dry, roasty finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Really rather mellow, well balanced and utterly drinkable. Easily one of favourite Kernel beers of late. Crazy good!
