(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2018) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with fresh black coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced porter, with a fresh coffee touch. Nice one.

Draft at The Hague beer festival. Black with a medium tan head. Aroma is herbal upfront, certainly getting the bay leaves, dark chocolate, roast, caramel and licorice. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
