Aside from the light bitter hop flavors, Rothaus Hefeweizen has an additionally important flavor component that’s typical for this variety: brewer’s yeast. For this beer variety, a top-fermented yeast is used as opposed to the one that’s bottom-fermented. In contrast to our other beers, our Hefeweizen is unfiltered when bottled.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sourish wheat, banana, fruits, touch of citrus, spicy yeast, some clove. Flavour is mild sweet and light bitter with a little wheaty sourness. Body is medium. Good Hefe.

Аромат умеренный. Весьма много дрожжей, но не противные, немного хлеба из за этого, есть нотки от бананов, сама пшеница есть но немного. Цвет не сильно мутный, пенка средняя для стиля но стойкая. Вкус снова весьма дрожжевой. Бананов уже больше, хлеб тоже есть на месте. При глотке почти нету кислинки. Послевкусие дрожжевое, бананы, но уже со специями, конечно гвоздика. В целом хорошая пшеница, но ничего особенного и дрожжей все таки немного излишни.
