Christmas Idjit is a version of our potent imperial stout Idjit. Black as the night and dark as sin. Loaded with roasted, and just a hint of smoked malts it is as smooth as it is powerful. A beer you can count on anytime, anywhere.

Bottle, backlog 2013. Pours deep brown/coca-cola with two fingers slowly dissipating mostly lasting beige head. Aroma is intense dark chocolate, cocoa, syrup, leather and vanilla. Taste is also intense with huge amounts of roasted malt, chocolate, soy sauce until a slight floral bitterness kicks in. A slight smokey hint in the finish. Full body, soft carbo, oily texture. A nice composition.

0.33l bottle. On the pour this is a nice brown looking one and it has a small quickly fading light brownish top. It has a rich and powerful aroma. Lots of cocoa butter and dark roasted chocolate malts. It's also mildly spiced up with cinnamon and hints of cloves and cardamom. Smells absolutely quite nice. In the taste it's a bit rough and all over the place. Flavorful undoubtedly, but it's just way to rough. It has a oily feeling in the mouth and the carbonation level is about average. Super strong coffee with super strong roasted malts mixes with super strong alcohol. There are some anise spices here also. Fennel and star anise with hints of cinnamon. Think this has great storage potential. Right now, a bit to sharp for my superior taste buds. 30.12.2013

Bottle. A small, light beige head forms over a dark brown body. Lots of roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate in the aroma. A faint vegetal note too. It’s quite warming on the palate, full-bodied and almost sticky. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee in the flavor. Some hoppy bitterness and flavor. Lasting roasted finish. It’s certainly good in a way, but then not so good anyway. 140420

Small beige head. Clear deep dark brown body with light carbonation. Roasted rye crisp bread and dark chocolate aroma with nutty spicy notes. Dryish-sweet roasty spicy rye crisp bread taste with earthy dusty notes. Fullish-body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish roasty soy sauce and lacquer aftertaste with earthy dusty rye crisp bread notes. Lovely. Excellent! Vivid, clear, full of flavour, harmonic, and scarily easy to drink. (0.33l bottle, I forget where from.)

Bottled 330ml. -Almost black coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, really pleasant coffee and chocolate nose. Roasted malt, coffee/chicory and some chocolate with notes of licorice and hops. Noticable alcohol but all in normal limits. Nice one.
