Handpull cask at the King Edward VII, Halesowen. Very light golden and clear with a tight off-white head. Aroma is hay and bread with some unidentifiable fruity notes. Sweet taste, a bit grainy, some citrus but none of that lovely Simcoe flavour. Light body with soft carbonation. Not Mallinson's best. Maybe my expectations were too high.

500ml bottle [4.0%]. Cloudy, orangey, bright golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly floral, minimally citrusy, piney and herbal, hoppy aroma, minimally strawy, pale malty background. Taste is dry, slightly citrusy and floral hoppy, slightly mineral and chalky. Light and refreshing, not as distinct as expected.

Tap at Cask, Pimlico. Poured a crystal clear amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light pine needle, grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light grass hop, citrus bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Cask. Pours clear dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of light fruity hops, citrus and light grass. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Simcoe coming out nice and softly in the palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. A decent simple session beer.
