500ml bottle. Golden colour with an orange tinge, frothy white foram head and aroma of fruity, ,melon, hop resin. Taste is malt caramel with fruity, grassy, grapefruit, earthy notes and resin hoppy bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Had this again on 24th Sep 2016 and thought it very Grapefruity and Lemony throughout, a lot more depth than the first time I had it: more Hops this time around. Hand-pulled half in Ye Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 17th May 2014. I assume this is a one hop brew? Pale golden body with a head head. Simcoe Hops, like Cascade are supposed to impart citrus notes into the aroma and taste, they didn’t use enough though! I found this fruity and bland. I’ve struggled with single hop brews before finding them one dimensional and uninteresting, this followed that pattern.

Cask @ Baum, Rochdale. Clear yellow-blonde with a thick frothy head. Has a small sour citrus taste with a heavy citrus hopped nose. Lemons and grapefruits evident.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Lemon, pineapple and a hint of pine in the aroma. Lemon, biscuity malt and grapefruit feature in the taste. Quite refreshing.

Cask at The Craven Arms; clear amber pour with frothy off white head, grapefruit and malt aroma, taste had pineapple grapefruit and dominant sweet malt. Decent low ABV golden.

Cask at Craft Beer Co clerkenwell. Clear golden straw colour with a loose persistent white head. Aroma is greeen hop leaf, straw. Flavour is fairly dry straw, grassy lemon hop, light body, Finish is slighty rough dirty bitterness.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. Very clean with nice melon and grapefruit character. Plenty of pithy citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish with low sweetness and rindy bitterness. Very tight.

Cask at CBC, London on 14th October 2013. Amber with thin off white part-lacing foam ring. Hoppy aroma with cheesy yeasts. Bitter grassy hoppiness in-mouth, with grapefruit notes. A lasting, grassy bitter finish on lightly textured mouthfeel and light body. Deliciously crisp session ale.

Cask at Craft Beer Clerko, 10/10/13, In the ’I should have been elsewhere Croydonian Dark Ale Bungle ! ’ Clear light golden with a good sized bubbly off white head. Nose is juicy fruits, subtle hop notes, hint of pine, jammy tropical waft. Taste comprises orange pith, light grapefruit, melon, peach, toasty malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, grassy bitterness in the finish. Decent GB.

Cask @ Hanging Bat, Edinburgh [020413]
Golden, slight haze, dense white head
Aroma - soft light fruits, soft fruity pale malts, some zesty hops, bit of grass
Taste of soft fruity malts, dab of orange and lemon zesty hops, quite sharp bitter lemon, bit floral too, good flavour for abv
Palate - Light to medium body, quite oily, bit sticky. Finish quite dry - bitter dry linger
Overall - Lots going on here for the abv - pretty decent
