From tap at Noordelijk Kerst- en Winterbierenfestival 2016. Aroma is potent coffee, chocolate, roast, fruity, orange peel, hops, mild coriander. Flavour is moderate sweet and medium bitter. Body is above medium. Nice roasty chocolate Stout, lots of flavours.

Bottle. Grainy aroma with caramel and roast. Malty yet dry roasty flavor with licorice and earthy hops. Flavorful, not perfectly balanced. but not bad.

33cl bottle. A black beer with a huge good lasting tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate malt, lactose, soft roasted malt. Taste of mild roasted dark malt, sweet chocolate, cacao, vanilla, high carbonation.

pours black with a hughe fine kaki head with a lot of carbo. aroma of chocolate, cacao, malts, roasted and toasted, lightly sour, dry, powdery. lactose. too much carbonic acid and i don't like the sourness.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Polleke Bier, Veenendaal. Dark brown to black with a big beige head. Roasted malts and coffee in the aroma. Bittersweet taste. Very lively carbonation. Really good RIS. re-rated on 13-03-2018: 33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij Culemborg, brewed @ Sallands bier. Dark brown to black with a big beige head. Roasted malts and coffee in the aroma and some orange. Bittersweet taste. Really good fruity, hoppy RIS.

Draft at The Hague beer festival. Dark brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of herbs, spice, licorice, overripe dark fruit, dark chocolate and malt. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Fles at NBPF. Black with huge tan head. Licorice, more sweet licorice like candy, herbs, coffee, some cocoa. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Way too much licorice for me.
