Straight from a 33 cl green bottle, clear. Grainy malts with some mouldy/yeasty tones, vague spices, light hops. Medium body, carbonated, bubbly finish. Seemed a decent lager but din’t pay much attention to it, need to try again to evaluate better.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks avrashi. Clear golden. Aroma of some spicy yeast character, a bit of fruitiness, and some grassy hops. Sweetish flavor with graininess, fruity esters, a bit of spicy phenols, and a light bitterish hint. Quite light-bodied.

At a tasting, thanks, very little head, clear deep yellow color, mineral and toothpaste aroma with some maltiness behind, fruity, almondy, yeasty flavor with some toothpaste, noticable sweetness, lots of esters. Interesting.

On tap at ’Foodhallen’. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy, spicy and a little fruity aroma of sweet malts, some caramel, straw, banana, clove and hints of peach. Sweetish, quite malty, rather spicy, slightly grassy and a little fruity taste of caramel, honey, bread, straw, banana, clove and a touch of peach, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite grassy and spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting, resembles a Belgian Blond, quite tasty and refreshing as well.

On tap at Stadsbrouwhuis Leiden. Clear golden colour, dense white head. Aroma of banana, clove, smells like a Belgian blond ale. Flavour is sweet, light malty, fruity, banana, banana candy, clove, no real bitterness. Light bodied. Nice to have tried this. The "wild yeast" story behind this beer is annoying though.

Tap at WvhNLB2016 @ Grote Kerk, Den Haag. Clear golden dissolved head. Big dusty but intense maltiness. Very sweet, light algae, bready, ’sinterklaasschuimpjes’, dusty cardboard. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Over medium body, low carbonation. Weird stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of H41 Wild Lager on 21 Nov 2017 at 22:24 - Score: 6. Original review text: 3

Tap at NBPF. Clear golden with white head that doesn’t last very long. Lots of cloves, more spicy yeast notes, soft malts and no noticeable hops because they are overpowered by the yeast. Light sweet. Light bodied with low carbonation. Definately very different from regular Heineken.
