Lucky SOB is an Irish Red for those whose lives always fall into place…and also for the rest of us who curse those blessed bastards. Brewed with real four-leaf clovers, it is perfectly poised to bring the “Luck of the Irish” to those who drink it. With a rich amber color, its toasted and honey malt flavors are balanced with a subtle hop bite. Not to mention that its clean and refreshing finish is the perfect accompaniment to chants of “Erin Go Braugh.”

Can ordered online from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds, drunk at home. Reddish gold, clear with a small uneven film of white head. Sweet malts, caramel, some antiseptic notes in the aroma. Tastes bittersweet initially, turning a bit more bitter near the clean, long, dry finish full of bittering hop. It's great for the style. Not the most exciting beer but well-made and refreshing.

Clear, lively red beer with a frothy white head. Musty, malty smell. Flavour is malty too, with some mellow hop to it, some honey and a dry if slightly watery finish. It's fine but it's not Flying Dog's best work.

6 week old can A: Very clear pale ruby tea color with a short tan head that fell to a ring and pad. S: Leafy, earthy and orange citrus hops. Mild sweet brown bread. T: Bitter and sweet at once with tart orange and bitter zest over leaves and herbs. Dark toasted bread and a hint of mint to finish. M: Medium to thin body, lowish carbonation level and a wet tart finish. O: Really good, lots of flavor despite an average at best look and feel.
