The devil is in the details. The light touch of pale and wheat malts. Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe and Chinook hops. Massive hops additions imbue a wicked bitterness and the intense floral aromas of citrus and lush tropical fruit. Hoppy, hoppy, rich and golden.

bottle. Best part of this beer is the packaging. Very underwheling imperial ipa. over abundance of malts made an odd beer

Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #92. Keg at Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor, 3/12/16. Clear golden, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, wheat and citrus hops. The taste is toffee, wheat, caramel, herbal and citrus hops. Medium-full bodied, low carbonation, mild booze.

Deep super hazy golden and lightly copper coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of resin, alcohol, malt, rich hops, caramel and a good deal of toffee. Full-bodied; Strong alcohol and pungent malt flavours throughout with a big hop presence, but bigger malt and alcohol note that shows very strongly. Aftertaste shows some dry hops, a lot of earth, nuts and especially caramelised/toffee sweetness on the finish with a big alcohol burn to get past. Overall, a good, but slightly too strong beer with a lot of flavours and alcohol tastes instead of more of a complex hop vibe. Regardless, still nice to sample, especially with the stubby bottle. I sampled this stubby 12 ounce bottle purchased from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 11-September-2015 for US$3,39 sampled at home in Washington on 23-June-2016.

Pour is a hazy, murky amber with a small white head. Aroma is fruity hop with a decent caramel malt. Flavor is super sweet caramel malt with a decent hoppy backbone. Finish leaves equal hop resin and sweet malt on the tongue. Decent strong/IPA ale. A bit sweet and thick but has enough hop presence to make this appealing.
