Growler from Brouwerij Lane. Pours a dark brown with mild head. Nice caramel and light malt aroma. Taste is a bit of sweet malts and hint of bitter. A very good brown ale, sort of like a darker newcastle.

Draught @ Taproom no307. Brown with reddish tint, small tan foamy head, faint mocha aroma, high carbonation, abrupt finish with little coffee aroma. Very nice beer.

On tap at Pony Bar. Poured a near clear brown with an off-white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had some roasted malts with some dark chocolate and a hint of dark bread as well. Flavor starts with chocolate but develops into more of a combination of roasted malt and dark bread. Easy drinking.

Medium brown with a smallish head. Aroma of light chocolate, roasted and toasted malt, and a touch of fruit. Body is a bit thin for the flavor and I think it would improve drastically with a fuller mouth. Flavor is of light berries, some roasted malt, chocolate. Decent brown.

Dark brown - semi-cloudy - clingy, sudsy lace - aroma is more like a porter - chocolate, coffee, roast all belie the intended style - just a hint of nuttiness falls in line with a brown - flavor is much the same - intense roast, vanilla bean, coffee, chocolate - if I close my eyes, I can trick myself into believing that it is a porter - again, some nuttiness - I have had enough of their beers now to notice a house character, including a particular yeastiness that works in some styles, but not in this one - semi-sweet until the middle and finish, where a fairly strong bitterness for the style develops - tobacco, char - full-flavored, if not completely to style - I like it, but don’t seem to love it as other raters do.
