Pours light gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing to coat surface. Caramel aromas. Soft with soapy caramel upfront turning metallic in the bready finish.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pourz a clear gold with minimal white head. Aroma is mostly grains. Taste is light bitter. Corn and grains. These sapphire hops dont do a whole lot for me. Light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, its kinda a dog.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spaten stange. Pours a clear brilliant gold with a thick white head with good retention; after it falls a bit, a little lace is left on the glass; a blanket of foam remains on top of the liquid all the way down to last swallow. Aroma is corny, citrus powder drink, creamed corn. Taste is sweet with only a hint of bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is creamy, carbonation soft for the style. I’m actually really surprised by this. I was expecting a piece of shit, mostly because of the AB connection, but this is much better than most of the stuff in AB’s portfolio and everything I’ve ever had from the actual Becks brewery. It’s not excellent, and it’s not anything I would ever buy again, but this isn’t all that bad.

Stupid black bottle that won’t be accepted for recycling. Light sweet grainy malt aroma. Clear gold with a small white head. Slightly sour malt and light bitter flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation. Blech. And not being able to recycle the bottle made this a complete waste.

Clear golden coloured body with a soapy white head, a few bubbles and not much to look at. Aroma of pale malt, a hint of light hops and a bit of unfinished sugars - not much else. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic taste up front with just about nothing behind, except for a tiny bit of sugars, no hops, no malt, no earth. Aftertaste relatively simple with some metallic bitterness, a bit of sugar and cardboardie malt. Overall, a pretty bad beer, but at least it wasn’t terribly offensive - no green bottle means that it’s not skunky - that’s about all that’s going for it. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Harris Teeter in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 04-February-2013 sampled later in the day after a hockey game in Washington.

Free sample at Supermarket: Pours a pale yellow with little fizzy head. Aroma is grain. Taste is slightly hoppy, but tastes mostly like an attenuated European lager. Is this better than Rolling Rock? Sure, it is. Is this a good beer, well not really.

Well it was basically Becks. Nothing more. Sure there was a discernible spicy hop nose, a little less in the flavor. But Becks has always had that. A little grainy. Its a fair lager.

Pour is a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is almost nothing. Some sweet malt. Flavor is almost nothing again. Just almost nothing. I guess some malt but nothing in the way of hops. So watery this may not even be considered a beer.

Almost no aroma. Clear yellow and headless. Weak, lightly artificial flavor of plastic and lemons. Fizzy. More of the same from InBev.

First off, loses points for being brewed in St. Louis. Becks, from St. Louis...that’s just wrong. Moving on...12oz bottle. FIltered yellow-tan color, thin, oily head. Macro sweet aroma, too sugary and sweet for what you’d want out of even a brewer like Becks, while it does have some bitterness, I’d say the regular Becks has a more pronounced hop character, more depth, more refined. This is just a cheap IMBEV crap in disguise. Drinkable, inoffensive at times, but just a gimmick at heart.
