Part of a seasonal voyage platter at the Heartland Brewery and Chophouse, 43rd St, NYC. Pours cloudy golden colour with a white head. Aroma of wheat, floral, and light spice. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, creamy texture, above average carbonation. So-so.

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. It’s an unclear, straw yellow beer with a small, white head on top. Weak aroma, mostly on the fruity side, but with some piney hints in the back. The aroma has wheat in the back, with fruityness up front, some orange and a faint bitterness. It’s dry and medium bodied, nicely carbonated. Medium length finish. A refreshing and decent beer, but very far from interesting. 150624

Drought @ Union Square. Hazy rich yellow with foamy white head, weak doughy aroma, low carbonation, sweetiah taste, abrupt finish. Very smooth but not making much impact on you.

18th Jan 2013: New York, ESB location. Hazy/cloudy pale yellow, a bit of a white crown on top. Vanilla esters in the aroma and taste: overall a bit sweet and not impressed. Thin bodied and wishy-washy in general: this was not to my taste at all. It lacked character and any strong flavours to get into. Refreshing it maybe but I wanted something to quench my thirst and give me a reason to have another one.
