A fresh take on a fruit beer. This crisp, unfiltered lager is aged on blueberries for a pleasant blueberry aroma and taste. To take this fruity character in a new direction,we brewed with Tettnang Noble hops for an added subtle citrus note. A delicious blend of flavors with a smooth lager finish.

No signs of a lager in here, just some borederlind fake blueberry juice. They claim its real blueberries and im inclined to belive them. Quite sweet and sugary, but this is just aldult juice. Meh.

Bottle from a lazy dog. Deep golden color with a good sized long lasting bubbly white head. Big blueberry on the aroma, almost too much. The flavor is quite sweet, again big blueberry. Somewhat cloying, more like a wine cooler than a beer. Glad I only bought one.

Grabbed a bottle of my brother inlaws beer. Pours gold with nose is blueberry candy. Tastes of blueberries, malt, some lemon, and perfume. Crisp and not too sweet.

10th July 2014: part of a mixed pack of Samuel Adams stuff bought by my son-in-law and drank on his balcony in Newport Beach. Not my cup of tea! Slight haze to the pour, golden with a short lived white head. The name gives the flavours and aroma away somewhat: blueberries (or a syrup of said fruit) infused with a base lager that fails to blend with it’s bedmate. Sorry, not good. Not even refreshing or thirst quenching.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Blueberry aroma. Near med body. Flavor is pretty bb with a little pale malt. Decent fruit beer, but comes across a bit artificial in flavor. ?

I got this in the 12 bottle Summer pack. There’s a best by date of August 2014. I poured one into a pilsener yesterday and this one is currently in a pint glass. The only difference is the head in the pint glass as its just slightly larger in the pint glass.
The appearance is a somewhat hazy orange color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that rises a bit and then concaves to leave a gentle rolling white foamy head with some soapy clingy lacing. There is some light carbonation seen rising.
The smell was sweet blueberries, almost reminds me of blueberries in a blueberry pie but without all of the rest of the pie ingredients. Blueberry jam/filling perhaps?
The taste was once again sweet blueberries in a super nice refreshing sort of way. Crisp refreshing blueberry aftertaste with a light watery blueberry finish.
On the palate, it sat light, in fact it sat extremely light, wow, is this beer light or what? Koch, what are you up to with this one, hahaha? Anyways, sessionable - extremely. 5.5% - hmmm...seems way lighter to me.
Overall, blueberry hill lager? Hmmm....well, I’m not sure about the yeast that was used, but if anything if they ever wanted to change the name, they could always call it \"Blueberry Session.\" This could be a pretty good after dinner treat on the deck watching the sun go down.

Office Party: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is blueberry and some lager smell, with hints of other fruit. Taste is very prominently blueberry. This is kind of sweet. Definitely not one of the worst beers I have ever had.

Bottle. Dark yellow with small foamy white head, strong blueberry aroma, medium carbonation, blueberry flavored skightly sweet taste, abrupt finish with persisting blueberry aroma. Interesting but a little overbearing.
