A brand new addition to our core beer lineup, inspired by our roots in Costa Rica watching the post-rain mist rolling off the jungle. Tropical Mist is a Blonde Ale built on a base of organic Copeland Malt from Admiral Maltings in Alameda, CA, which is then fermented with our house Murky yeast. Crushed organic Valencia oranges from Stehly Farms in Valley Center give this brew a super refreshing finish, made for sipping slowly in the San Diego sunshine.

Little too much citrus, but refreshing after a little walking around Balboa Park.

cloudy yellow, white head.
citrus and lemon aroma - mostly like a radler - quite fruity. no Belgian yeast that i can tell, but then blonde might not mean belgian blonde.
flavor is mild and alei'sh with malts being quite crisp and with a pilsener or lager like bitterness in the end. there is a citrus fruity note but it is very much subtle compared to the heavy citrussy notes in the aroma. in fact it mostly tastes like a mexican lager, only it feels like it has been made with a much, much higher attention to detail and quality.
i was confused by the name, but the end result is quite quenching and okay, you might find it flavor wise similar to a citrussy saison or a unusually well done mexican citrussy lager.

Aromas are malt, citrus and a little bit of hops. Flavors are similar to nose, starts out mildly sweet to bittersweet to light ale finish. Full body and good carbonation. Okay but nothing special at all.

On tap at Pure Project - North Park, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of citrus, with not much else other than dry biscuity malt. Flavour is gentle, with lots of lemony citrus and a touch of sweet malt to back. Clean and drinkable but not very interesting.

Quite pale, thin head. Sweet and it does taste like a citrus spritz went into it, like a light orange accent. Aiming for refreshing but a bit heavy on the body…more wheat would work for me.

16 oz can courtesy of John, thanks my friend, 4/4/22. Last 5 minutes of the NCAA Championship game going on the TV. Canned 11/3/21. Hazy yellowish color, white head, decent lace. Zesty orange, lemon, lime, and a little grain. Pale malt. Bready. Crushable. Lively. Fucking refreshing. I could crush a ton of these.

On tap at Pure Project Balboa Park. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is citrus and wheat. Medium body, straw, clove, citrus, dry finish, very good.

Can from Matt: pours gold with a white head. Aroma is citrus, some bready malts. Taste is citrusy with a pale malty backbone. Simple, but nice and refreshing.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma is mostly orange zest. Med body more or less. Flavor is orange zest over detectable pale/cracker malt. Fruity. Reasonably dry. Citrus bitter. Decent drink.
