This is an easy drinking yet full flavoured golden ale created using a blend of classic and New World hops. A great beer with food or savoured on its own. Its zesty citrus aromas overlay a heart of classic hoppiness. The zesty notes follow through on the palate backed with a light maltiness and the finish is crisp, tangy and refreshing.

We use four hops in Horizon; Fuggles, Styrian Goldings, Cascade and Mosaic. Flaked Barley, Caramalt and Pale Ale malt are also used to create this golden beer.

Half pint, cask, well kept and served at Mr Foleys Cask Ale House in Leeds. Bright golden, almost no head, fragile lacing. Grassy hops to the nose. Taste of some herbal kind of hops with a rather sharp, but short lived, bitter finish. So and so, 11.07.2010.

Cask (Isambard Kingdom Brunel JDW, Portsmouth) - Gold/amber in colour with a white head. Slightly hoppy aroma with hints of grapefruit. Biscuity malt and hops feature in the taste, which is slightly sterile. Notes of grapefruit are noticeable. A bland and not on its best form, I’m sure.
