This is an easy drinking yet full flavoured golden ale created using a blend of classic and New World hops. A great beer with food or savoured on its own. Its zesty citrus aromas overlay a heart of classic hoppiness. The zesty notes follow through on the palate backed with a light maltiness and the finish is crisp, tangy and refreshing.

We use four hops in Horizon; Fuggles, Styrian Goldings, Cascade and Mosaic. Flaked Barley, Caramalt and Pale Ale malt are also used to create this golden beer.

[cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Light and refreshing, some "green"/ unripe flavour. It made me think of daffodils! It’s a good session beer; the flavour is very reminiscent of Springhead Liberty (which I drank in the same session) but whereas Liberty would be right for a long summer afternoon this makes me want to drink it on sunny spring days!

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Straw with a thin white head; citrus aroma; citrus and honey flavours; a good grapefruit bitterness to finish. Clean and refreshing.

Cask conditioned handpull at The Castle, Chancery Lane. Gold, beige head. Fruity blond bitter, with peach and apricot. Some earthy hop. It’s quite pleasant. The fruit isn’t really my style, but given my ambivalence to Wadworth, this isn’t bad. Still not too exciting.

Cask-conditioned at the Rising Sun, Frampton Cotterell, Gloucs 17/11/07. Gold with a slight white head. Pleasant grassy hop aroma with a touch of sweet malt. Flavour started sweet before the usual unpleasant Wadworths aftertaste kicked in. One was enough.

Cask at Cropredy Festival, 11-08-07 Poured very clear golden with nice white head. Nice fresh hoppy aroma served a tad too cold which took the edge off of both taste and aroma slightly. Quite bitter, some vanilla, a little bit thin but not too bad.
