An amber beer style that was developed over 200 years ago to celebrate the original Oktoberfest. The Märzen name comes from “March beer” because it was historically brewed in March to be at peak flavor for the Oktoberfest celebration. Today this style is available year-round in the US due to popular demand.

Backlog. Fresh baked bread aromas with light caramel and faint herbal notes. Caramel, bread and honey on the palate with light peppery bitterness. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Original Münchner Märzen on 29 Sep 2018 at 12:15. Original review text: Backlog

11.2oz bottle. Not sure how I've never rated this one but here we go. Filtered copper body, thin white head. Full bodied and bready. Really well brewed, Rather straightfoward, classic example of the style. Mild faint amber malt notes perhaps, munich malt. Not a lot of hop character, just a mild balance. Good.
