Pleasant citrus hop aroma, and some grass.
A little thin on the body, and a little low on the carb. Now here comes the bitterness. Very very bitter, and it lingers forever. Comparable to chewing on grapefruit rind. I dont see this being anything but another mikkeller foray into over the top extreme brewing.

Keg at Cask. Cloudy amber with almost no head. Very strong smell, quite garlic like. Taste is naturally very bitter especially at the start but then gives a bit of garlic. Long bitter finish. Extremely full bodied in the mouth with a bit of a prickle. A very extreme beer, but quite drinkable in spite of everything. --- Beer merged from original tick of 1000 IBU Ultramate on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Bottle. Orange amber color. Peach, pineapple, citrus and some grassy hops in the aroma. Intense grassy herbal hopbitter flavor, overpowering all fruity notes. Long herbal hopbitter aftertaste. Strong paracetamol finish.

A hazed amber ale with a thick collapsing lacing mocha head. In aroma, loads of resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, herbaceous and pungent. In mouth, a nice crisp biscuit malt with loads of citrusy resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and resilient, still good after a few years. Bièropholie imports.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Very bitter and very hoppy, not really drinkable, but didn’t mind it as an experiment.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Popped the cap and it was an instant gusher. Clear amber with off-white head. Aromas of toasty notes, citrus, resin. Tastes of bitter citrus, toasty notes, bland biscuit. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Mostly just bitter and bland.

Tap at Ei8ht Ball. Lasting resinous hop action. Clean body, but big resin. "Old School" NW piny resinous tones. No tropical "New School" tones. Quite nice, unique. Clean, balanced.
