Bottle consumed at the Watfordian Tasting. It pours hazy amber with a massive beige head. The nose is fresh, juicy pine, orange peel, tangerine, sherbet, dirt and roasty coffee. The taste is sherbet, orange, tangerine, earth, toast, coffee and light acidity with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. I like the balance. Odd, but tasty. Works for me.

Bottle @Konttori. Dark amber color, good beige head, lace. Stong roasted coffee aroma, hayish hoppyness. Coffee beans turn to vegetably. Light bodied. Dark coffee, coffee beans - vegetables, hayish bitterness. Foamy and a bit thin. Quite similar to some Koppi Ipas.

Perhaps best described as a spicey coffee beer. It’s a nice experiment, but it’s a little bit flat.

Bottle at home, from the De Molen beer shop, 01/10/13. Hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head formed of bubbles. Nose is vegetal, damp cornfield, with a roast coffee mist covering the field. Taste is light roast, toasty malts, coffee beans, light peppery spice. Medium bodied, slightly prickly carbonation. Interesting stuff ... I certainly don’t dislike it, it’s a drinkable enough affair although I doubt I’d seek it out again!

amber/oranje, ondoorzichtig met schuimige wit/gele kraag aroma:L koffie, citrus, amarillo hop, unieke combinatie van geuren smaken: medium zoet, zwaar bitter, citrus, grapefruit, koffie, exotisch fruit en ietwat rokerig medium body, dun, laag co2, stevig bitter, koffie en grapefruit, aardig !

Bottle at Dean’s Birthday tasting, August 2013. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is yeast and pepper. The flavour is medium bitter with a dry spicy palate. Very refreshing. I liked this!

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-amber colour with a huge and slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty, herbal spicy hoppy aroma with subtle citric accents, backed by mildly bready cara-malt and a tinge of coffee. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Dry (cara-)malty base with present hoppy notes, including herbal, resiny and subtle fruity accents, while the coffee flavours are rather subdued; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with resiny hops and traces of coffee in the aftertaste. 29.IV.13
