2013 bottle thanks to Jorden. Pours a dark brown with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong raisin, toffee, booze, yeast, leather. Slick body, dark fruit, wood, leather, boozy, dry finish, good.

Złożone, słodowe i lekko owocowe. Są porzeczki, melasa, melanoidynowe, skórka od chleba. Lekko się pije mimo swojej złożoności.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a very dark brown colour with a reddish hue and a medium sized creamy beige head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel, milk chocolate and a little brown sugar. Taste has the same notes from the aroma. Sweetish finish. Medium body, lively fizzy palate, smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Not bad but a bit average.

Thick creamy light tan head stayed on a dark brown still body. Dark spirits, raisin & send aroma. Medium bodied, light over the tongue with a clean back. Dark fruits, raisin, liquorice chocolate & spicy tastes with a short fruity finish. Unusual but tasty

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een rode gloed. Het aroma van geroosterde mout, koffie en chocolade. De smaak is gebrande mout, chocolade en bitter.

Pours hazy dark brown with a big, slowly diminishing, frothy, tan head. Aroma of star aniseed, dried orange peel, burnt caramel, syrup, liquorice, biscuit, grape sugar. Taste has sweet caramel & raisin, sugary character, accentuated by sweet & spicy liquorice, aniseed giving off a herbal effect, very vaguely toasty in the back. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, malty & a bit metallic, lingering caramel & sweet-spicy liquorice, hint of warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily-syrupy texture, fizzy carbonation. Unbalanced mash of syrup & spices.

Clean nice label. Its color is chestnut-red, foam is creamy, large, and durable. Nice beer. Aroma is great: dried fruit, dark chocolate. The taste is very creamy, delicious, sweet, full-bodied. Cognac, caramel, prune notes with a little bitterness. Alcohol nicely hidden. Reminiscent of better double bak, really fine top-fermented strong Belgian brown. It is among the best in this category because of its clarity and simplicity.

Letisztult szép cimke. Színe gesztenye-vörös, habja krémszínű, nagy, és tartós. Szép sör. Illata remek, aszalt gyümölcsös, mellette étcsokoládés. Íze nagyon krémes, finom, édes, telt. Konyakos, karamelles, aszalt szilvás jegyek, icipici keserűvel. Alkohol szépen elbujtatva. Jobb dupla bakokra emlékeztet, igazán finom felső-erjesztésű erős belga barna. A jobbak között van ebben a kategóriában, letisztultsága, egyszerűsége miatt.

Bottle at Hops, Crewe A nice heady nose featuring plums and black cherries. Pours a dark reddish brown with minimal cream head (even when I try and create a head !). In the mouths it’s a dark fruit cocktail, including plus, raisins, bananas and brandy snaps. Has nice soft carbonation. The finish is plumy and fruity – plus a warm boozy alcoholic glow inside me !
