Nice fresh blond beer with a hoppy taste. Bit grassy, sweetish yeasty and very drinkable.

Bottled. Hazy yellow color, huge rocky white head. Very lively in carbonation. Aroma of grassy and spicy hop, quite a lot of yeast esters (Duvel yeast?), some spices. Smells like a tripel indeed. Medium bitter in taste, bit sweet. The bitterness is more pronounced as it’s fairly dry. Really reminds me of a low alcohol Duvel, which can be taken as a compliment. Although Im not a fan of high carbonated beers, it does fit this type of beer. If the brewers think this has any resemblance to an IPA, now they have proven to have no knowledge of beer styles. I gave them the benefit of the doubt with the porter, but stylewise they have a lot to learn still. Good they didn’t put IPA anywhere on their website or their label, cause that would have cost quite some points. Now, I rate it as a blonde belgian ale and then it passes the mediocre test wonderfully. I will adjust the Kompaan 45 rating though.

Very huge, dense, yellowish head over faintly veiled, very carbonated yellow beer. White, candi sugar, garden herbs, pale malts, bit toasted too. Bitterish, very (EU) hoppy, straw, dry hopbales, again this lightly toasted streak, giving a fleeting idea of lemoncake. Wheatimpression. Slight astringency, bit burning MF. Spritzy carbonation, rather light body. An IPA with EU hops? Nearly if not utterly impossible - but this is a pretty good attempt. Like it.

Aroma is quite fresh and citrusy. Flavour is quite like a spicy, peppery white beer combined with the strong bitter hop finish of an IPA.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, citrus, peaches and grass. Malty, fruity taste with peaches, honey, citrus and grassy hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Very fresh and highly drinkable. Nice one.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, frothy to macropore, diminishing, white head. Grainy and husky aroma. Taste is initially minimally sweet grainy and fruity with a minimal citrus note, later with PIlsener-like bitter hoppy overtones; soft to flat carbonation.

Clear pale golden colour, firm white head. Aroma of malts, biscuit, grass, yeast and bubblegum. Light sweet malty flavour, light bitter touch. Firm malt profile, well bodied. Finish malts and citrus peel.
Nice.
