Sample at Woodlands Tavern. The beer is a slightly hazed golden-orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Light to medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, yeast and bready malt. The finish is sweet with an earthy yeast aftertaste. Decent all around.

12 oz. bottle. Pale orange color, with a small, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is lemons and orange zest, with some floral and earthy hops and a little bready yeast. Very bitter up front, with some citrusy sweetness and tartness through the finish. Light to medium body, crisp, and a little silky, with surprisingly light carbonation. Overall, this is a good, refreshing, and fairly complex beer.

Refrigerated brown bomber 2012 vintage poured inot a weizen glass. Pours translucent light orange with deep golden highlights with small white head. Some bib bubble lacing, medium body, and pine aroma. Taste is grapefruit, some pine, and slightly bitter hop finish. Pretty good, but how is this not an IPA.

Classic orange peel and coriander nose, good strength. Clear amber, medium head, fair lacing. Coriander and bread crust flavor, hints of rosehip. Breadiness intensifies then fades to a lengthy finish.More spicy when quaffed. Not dull at all, very good wit.

Bomber bottle bought 6/12 from Binnyβs for $4.99. Does pour hazy, pale and cloudy (yeah, a little redundancy over there). Carries a nice, malty smell slightly tempered by hop and, I think, anise. Taste is malt forward, with hop notes only slightly behind. Citrus hops, with lemongrass in the spice sachet, and maybe thatβs the usual coriander. Yeah, a slight touch of soap or lavender at the end. Still, I canβt help but find this interesting.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Seems to have a lot orange zest in the aroma. Med body. Belgian yeast/spice and lots of orange zest in the flavor. Orange oil even. Has much more character than many wits. Nice.

750 mL bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrusy, floral hops and bubble gum yeastiness. Flavor leads strongly with hops in the areas of grapefruit, pine resin, herbal, kind of a soapy quality to them, with wheat and yeast playing a more supporting role. A rather nice combination.

Bottle. Cloudy straw body, medium-thick off-white head. Grassy nose with coriander and herbal/floral hops. Spicy body, hoppy with tropical fruit notes and hay; perfumey and floral. Interesting but tiresome after a few ounces.
