Swami’s IPA was first brewed in 1992 to commemorate one of our favorite local surf breaks nestled below a spiritual enlightenment temple that sits on the cliffs above. This West Coast style IPA features a timeless American hop profile of citrus and pine with a crisp balanced finish. It’s a dream come true to be able to share so many pints over time as we all evolve together. Whatever your form of meditation is, we hope that each and every sip contributes to your own self-realization…Cheers!

Hops: Chinook, CTZ, Cascade, Centennial, Citra, & Simcoe

From a 473ml can on 27/1/2020. Pours a clrearish medium golden with a medium head. The nose is typical WC IPA with caramel and citrus fruit. In the mouth, it's flavoursome and nicely balanced. A big caramel and biscuit malt backbone, sweet citrus fruit, and a very firm pine/resin bitterness. Full bodied with moderate bitterness. Had their DIPA yesterday, which was really good. This is arguably even better. A terrific flavoursome, beautifully balanced IPA.

473ml can, Antenna America, Shinagawa Station. Pours golden, quite transparent, nice white foam on the top, leaving beautiful lacings. Crisp resiny nose, hop oils and some citrus peels, lemon and some orange marmalade. Tastes crisp and dry, good fresh hop bitterness, light sweetness (really light) and lots of citric spritz. Super light and elevated, uplifting IPA, dangerously sessionable. Goes down too quickly, superb balance.

Small creamy mediumlasting head, very light color. Aroma is fresh grassy, hop pellets, citrus peel, leafs, lawn, light malts, grapefruit, lemongrass, fresh hops. Taste is dry and medical harsh, bark, paper, fresh wood, leafs, lawn, medicine, alcohol, harsh hops, light malts. Longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Nice aroma, that's all...

On tap at Clock Block Ueey, I can taste how true San Diego is. Hazy amber with tall orange-ish head. Hoppy and earthy aroma, something like grapefruit at the end. Taste is hoppy bitter. Strong hop presence all around. Hoppy bitter tale. Perfectly balanced, enjoyed a lot.

Lightly sweet tropical citrus fruits with pine and hop resin underneath. Light toasty malt. Medium body. Bright. Real nice.
