Introducing Saison Dolores, Almanac’s newest year-round beer. A bright, aromatic brew for all seasons inspired by San Francisco’s Mission District. We combine barley, rye and Sonoran Wheat grown in Mendocino County and ferment the beer with our house Saison yeast. Finally we dry hop it to create a California Saison with flavors of spicy white pepper, fruity melon and a clean food friendly finish.
Enjoy this lively aromatic farmhouse ale with fresh seafood, funky washed rind cheeses and classic french-style charcuterie.
Canned version introduced in 2016 part of the fresh beer series, brewed and canned in San Francisco at Fort Point.

Caña en el Lupulo 22..04..2016. (r157). Color dorado con espuma blanca. Saison con sabores bastante marcados algo acidos con cereales y ligeros toques herbaceos. Buena.

A hazed golden saison with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light curacao, citrus, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light candy sugar, light curacao, coriander, light creamy notes, grassy hops, OK. On tap at North Country Brewfest 2016.

Hazy golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma of citruses, tropical fruity notes, earth and barnyard; taste is more sweet than expected with sourish and slight bittery notes, overripe fruits and peppery notes. Good saison.

Draft at Pony Bar. Slightly cloudy yellow colour with a white head and medium lace. Aroma is heavy on yeast and spice, some clove, pepper, and lemon. Tastes similar, bit a citrus, fruity, melon component shows up to balance out the heavy spice.

On keg at Ushers. Hazy golden with a decent head. Loads of gooseberry and greengage going on. Taste similar, booze and melon too. Rich and balanced. Good beer.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt - wheat, moderate hoppy, citrus, moderate yeasty, saison yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, saison yeast, citrus, dry.
