Hits hard with hoppyness, but leaves a delicious mellow malty backbone. Slightly sweet, nice piney bitterness. Rye makes it even nicer.

Clear amber, offwhite head. Aroma has pine, caramel and citrus notes. Minimal hints of rye. Piney, grassy, rubbery flavour, some orange with light alcohol burn. Ok but rather onedimensional and boring for a DIPA.

Bottle (from saveur biere). Pours amber with whiteish head. The head stays for some time, nice lacing. Aroma is sweet, malt, caramel, rye bread, fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, malt, rye, fruits, citrus. Finish is citric-grassy bitter with sweetness and spicy rye notes. Alcohol is well covered and drinkability is very good. Overall: very good.

On tap @ Haandfest 2015. This is a mild cloudy looking dark orange colored one with a medium sized hefty lacing just off-white head. A strange but definitely rye infused bready and hoppy aroma here. Lots of yeasty elements. Bananas and generic really ripe fruits. Really really sweet! Not directly cloying but not far off either. Sticky and syrupy in the mouth. You notice the alcohol as it's burns down the throat. Grassy yeasty rye tail. A tad too raw of even fresh perhaps? 30.05.2015

Keg at Mother Kelly’s. It pours clear amber with a decent off - white head. The aroma is fresh, bitter - sweet, marmalade, tangy orange, oily, candied peel and sherbet. The taste is bitter - sweet, spice, brown bread, pine, resin, light alcohol, earth with a dry warming finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent.

Tap at mother kellys . a translucent dark orange amber coloured pour with a lasting loose off white head. Aroma is semi sweet rye bread, spicy earthy pine, some citrus, some jammy fruits. Flavour is composed of semi sweet raw grains, some orange, tangy orange, hint of must, nutty rye bread. Palate is medium bodied, moderate carbonation, grainy. Assertive bitterness.
