0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before July 2016 I believe. Minimally hazy, pale golden amber with a huge, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny aroma of mango, passion fruit, some cereals and pine. Sweetish, slightly bitter, fruity-resiny taste of mango, passion fruit, pine and some honey, followed by a long, rather bitter, slightly warming finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite good, the high bitterness makes it a bit unbalanced though. A bit less carbonation would have been good as well.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Sweet nose of pineapple and tropical fruit. Also earthy with citrussy notes. Bitter, light sweet. Dry and earthy finish. Good IPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas & Max. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of somewhat stale hops, spicy rye, soap. Sweetish-bitter flavor, a bit fruity, with somewhat stale hops, spicy rye, and a very bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Clear brown golden colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, quite fruity, floral notes, rye bread, caramel. Quite sweet flavour, bitter, hops. Finish rye bread with a load of crisp fruity hops. Nice!

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Tiel. Hazy amber with a big off-white head. Very hoppy aroma. Strong bitter taste, maybe even too bitter for me, although admittingly this tasting was after a sweet dessert. Maybe a re-rate would be in order because the aroma, the body and everything else is spot on.

12 oz. bottle. 7-11, Kittery, ME. Cloudy golden in color with full lasting head in the tulip glass. Aroma is funky yeast, light floral and very mild rye. Wow… this funky yeast was not expected.

Flavor has a balanced hop profile of pine, grass and citrus. A little bit of pepper from yeast. The backbone of the beer has lots of pale grain and for the gravity, it hides the alcohol really well. Even at a warmer temperature I don’t taste it. Also the rye is not the dominate flavor here. Body is on the lighter side of medium with a dry hoppy / grassy finish.

hazy orange colour, medium sized, dense yellowish off-white head; aroma of pine resin, tangerine, orange peel, some vegetables, caramel notes and hints of sauerkraut; bittersweet taste with tangerine, hints of mango, resiny notes and minimal sauerkraut; good DIPA nevertheless this sauerkraut note is a bit ’outlier’
