Krampus – das dunkle Winterbier: Als letztes Saisonschmankerl schließt der Krampus das Airbräu-Bierjahr ab. Dunkel in der Farbe aber dafür winterlich kräftig, sowie vollmundig im Geschmack – so kann das neue Jahr begrüßt werden. Der Name Krampus steht im alpenländischen Raum für den Begleiter des Nikolaus – doch keine Angst vor dem Krampus im Airbräu muss sich niemand fürchten!

--Keg at Airbräu. Munich Airport. -- Clear mahogany colour, firm mid sized head. Bready toffee aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Toffee, grain and salty grass. Mid bitter finish. Pretty decent dunkel.

Tap at Airbrau, Munich Airport, 23rd November 18. Pours a rich chestnut brown. Aroma is light cocoa, light spice, yeast, banana. Taste is full, interesting, cocoa, light spice and yeasty, enyoyable.

How: Draught.
Where: At the brewpub.
Appearance: Dark amber colour with a small off-white head.
Aroma: Spices, malt.
Body: Medium body, rather low carbonation.
Flavour: Spices, malt, caramel.

Bamberg Bash, Day 1. Air Brau, Munich Airport. Hazy deep amber beer, good fluffy pale cream - tan coloured head. Palate is light and slightly airy. Mild fine carbonation. Pretty malty. Mild unsweet toffee. Light dried fruits. Finishes crispy. Fresh but ultimately a little dull.

Tap at Airbrau, Muchen Flughafen - 25/11/11. Hazy brown with a large off-white head. Malts dominate the nose. Toasty malt flavour with mild nutiness and herb. Smooth drinking, good feel.

Rererate: Nice and juicy this time around, light metallic nose, chewy, wintery, a bit DMS in the background. . Re-rateAroma hard to detect. Cloudy brown, stable creamy head. Grainy flavors and fruity malt. Good portion of bitterhops in the taste together with the free floating yeast, which actually complements the full body and woody aftertaste quite well. Fat mouthfeel with bone dry bitterhop finish.
