On tap at Flanny’s in Tempe during the tap takeover. It pours with an opaque copper body that has thin gold edges and supports an off white head. The modest aroma offers up sweet malts, a faint malt roastiness, red apple flavored hard candy and spicy Belgian like yeast. The taste is similar with malt and red apple sweetness rolling into a mix of smooth Belgian yeasty spices and candi sugar. The finish has some light roasted malt notes and earthy tea hops that are somehow getting through the spicy and sweetness and rounding out the experience nicely.

not too spicy a bit soapy. A touch spicy. Not so well balanced. Hops and rye don’t complement, they clash.

On tap at beer revolution. Pours a deep coppery amber color. Very cloudy. Nice beige head. Fine bubbles that stick around for awhile. Surprisingly generic Belgian aroma. Caramel malt mixed with some Belgian fruitiness - raisins, plums, apricots. Little bit of rye spice and earth. Mild citric hoppiness. Taste is pretty sweet. Good dose of sugar. More rye spice, which helps but still needs to be turned up. Some hip bitterness in the finish. Carbonation is pretty normal. The sweetness and kinda meh Belgian notes give it an odds feel, though. Not great but not bad.

On tap at Apex, pours a cloudy reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma of rye malts, roasted rye bread, dry fruity caramel malt and some dishwashing detergent. Flavour is very dry, full of crusty bread rye bread, dry fruity malt and a bit of candied sugar. Overall, a very dry palate full of crusty bread and rye. Good stuff.
