(Bottle) Pours hazy amber with good white head. Nice aroma - pine, with citrus notes. Medium body with good fine carbonation. Hops provide most of the flavour with a bitterness that is present from the start and gently grows, but never becoming overwhelming. There’s some subtle caramel malt in the background. Very good.

Bottle, 10C. Amber with a creamy off white head that never disappears. Aroma of citrus - mandarin, fresh and grilled orange, kumquat - tropical fruit with herbal touches, bread crust. A bit more than medium bodied, very much IIPA texture despite the relatively modest ABV. Lowish carbonation. Bittersweet with a bread crust and caramelised orange sweetness first joined by sharper fruit flavours then by a gripping and gently resinous bitterness. MG have done a bunch of very different biggish IPAs since the sale and they continue to be interesting and good.

From a 640ml bottle on 7/10/2018. Pours a clear medium golden with a smallish head. yet another brew that describes itself as an imperial, despite weighing in at under 8%. The nose is pleasant enough, with a good dash of fruity hops. Flavour wise, there's a mix of caramel, biscuit and malt sweetness, with the dash of promised orange juice, and a reasonably firm hop finish. Fullish bodied with softish carbonation. Decent enough but not particularly memorable, noting the occasion.
