355ml can into pint glass. Very active straight out of the can, fills the whole glass up with light brown foam. Eventually some dark beer starts to appear. Quite zingy with a full body. Finish is bitter cocoa with some balancing chocolate, wood, and pepper. Not bad by any measure but not brilliant either.

(Can) Black with ruby highlights and decent grayish tan head. Pleasant but restrained aroma - smoky / ash, with some dried fruit hints. Medium body, quite smooth, with restrained but pleasant carbonation. Pleasant taste - dry, burnt sugar start, with some fruity notes, plums and raisins, emerging in the mid-palate, then some bitterness in the finish. It’s an unusual stout, easily drinkable.

Can. Somewhat shy aroma of earthy roast, chocolate, toffee, dried fruit, light spices. Thin. Toppy mocha and caramel, dried fruit and light spices. The flavous are not unpleasant but the lack of presence is surprising and would be a problem were it 4.5% ABV.
