33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of ash, grapefruit hops, light cheesy, hard-roasted malts, liquorice, cold coffee. Flavour is only light sweet, ashy, cold coffee, aspartame, grapefruit, burnt liquorice, bitter roast and hoppy finish. Medium-bodied at best. Indeed a hoppy porter, not BIPA imho.

Bottled @ cafe derat, large sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark bread, lots of hops, pine, grapefruit, hint of citrus. Very bitter in taste with enough sweetness to not make it dry and balance the beer out nicely. I wouldnt call it a porter, but quite a typical black IPA. And a lovely one in that style.
