From bottle (brewed Sept 2016, bottled Sept 2017, drank April 2018). Challenging on all fronts. Pours black and oily. Smells briny, tastes briny, but with a lot more also. The most oystery oyster stout I've encountered. Would do again.

On handpull at the farm. Pours black. Seawater, umami, smoke, seaweed, briney, chocolate, toast. Medium body. Bizarre, potentially more intriguing than it is drinkable. Fun, wouldn't drink again.

Bottle. Almost black, beige head is less than a coat. Aroma redolent of the sea with oysters and a fire put out with seaweed. Some berries and Worcestershire sauce. Almost slimy texture. Taste is dulled by it but has toasty malt and a bitter, slightly astringent and salty finish. Berries come through. As advised on the bottle, I also tried this with a dry aged grass fed steak -- the texture worked much better and the astringency and salt cut the fattiness quite well. Weird. As much marinade as beer.

Pours black with a small head.Nose shows liquorice, blackberry, blackcurrant, slight funk.Flavours include a fair bit of salt but it blends in with the roasted malt. Slight burnt toast notes.

Tasting at Matt’s
Brown color. The aroma is a bit vinous, saline and what. Sour caramel, saline. Don’t want to spend more here, just shit.

Cask at the brewery. Medium brown. Very salty, brett, light acidity, bit of briny character but more a tart briny ale.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is very briny, with lots of ocean notes, salt and tart brine. Flavour is hugely briny, with loads of mullosk notes, brine, and a touch of salt. Doesn't taste like a stout at all -- mostly tart brine. Light body with no complexity. Not a fan at all.
