Bottle. Slow creeper. Dark brown with a beige head that’s soon less than a coat. Funky fruity aroma with toasted grain, under-ripe nectarines, acorns, herbs, apples. Barely medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Who knows what style suits this - it’s not sour but it can’t be a saison and it’s not a porter... There are toasty and woody notes with some nutty and stone fruit sweetness. The herbs are more prominent than suggested in the aroma and bitterness and some hard spice notes come through. Interesting and involving.
