375ml can into shaker. Pours a clear copper with a frothy white head. The occasional bubble makes an appearance. Nose is caramel and toffee. Flat mouthfeel. Taste and finish are caramel malt and lasting toffee. There is just a touch of bitterness and orange peel in the background for balance. I like it but is it an IPA?

A reddish amber wit-styled IPA in can from Lord Nelson. That is unexpected. Pale beige head. Aroma of toast, bread crusts, some dried fruit, orange peel. I might guess wheat but I might guess wheat and rye. Sweet with bread, dried fruit, spices, orange peel. Drying finish has bitterness that’s on the high side of medium and struggles to cut through and bit before leaving some spices. An odd duck. Worth another go.
