Bottle. Amber with a white head that lasts OK. Aroma of caramel syrupy, grapefruit and other vague citrus, some pasture. Smooth with moderate to low carbonation. Not as dominated by caramel as suggested by the aroma - there’s some clean pale malt there too. The grapefruit too is clearer and fits in well enough. Bitterness is restrained but lingers. Not really my sort of thing but OK.

(Bottle) Pours clear golden amber with good dense white head. Prominent pleasant fresh aroma of pine and bitter citrus. Great palate: medium bodied with plenty of carbonation giving creamy feel and brightness. This is a hop driven taste from start to finish. There’s bitterness all the way through, but becoming more prominent in the finish as the other balancing flavours subside. At the start there’s some nice caramel / toffee sweetness and some citrus tartness, still dominated by the hops but nicely pulling the palate in different directions. An impressive beer, but perhaps a little full on (my wife, not a beer drinker, said tasted like wire).

500ml bottle into shaker. Crystal clear golden amber beer with frothy white head and light carbonation. Nose is light citrus with a touch of grass. Flat mouthfeel with excellent body and texture. The end is subtle, malt overlaid with earthy hops. There is grapefruit here, porpoising its way along the palate before asserting itself in the lingering finish. It’s a good beer but I can’t help thinking a little more bitterness wouldn’t go astray.
