Bottle, 11C Black with a beige head that fades to a coat fairly quickly. Aroma of mocha (mostly chocolate), roasted malt, vanilla. Silky with moderate to low carbonation. Less than full bodied, but the roast is nicely filled out by chocolate (not "indulgent" or "dark", but never mind) some berries and modest spiced bitterness. Not terribly interesting but well balanced for putting away a few pints at a time. Does what it wanted to do.

Pint on tap @ local Taphouse Sydney. Distant coffee/cocoa nose. Opaque blackness, thin tan head. Surprisingly light body, smooth texture. Flavour is a touch of sweet fruit followed by milk chocolate and a tiny bit of coffee bitterness. Well balanced stout. Really nice.

(Bottle) Pours black with a short-lived tan head. Pleasant aroma - roast malt, coffee hints, maybe a hint of raisins. Medium body well carbonated. Taste is quite light, making it easily quaffable but perhaps a little thin. Toasty flavours, a little peppery spice and a hint of dark toffee sweetness at the start, a rather watery mid-palate and hint of bitterness in finish.
