A blast from the past, our old school IPA takes no prisoners, hopped right through the boil and dry hopped to death. Upfront it is all tropical fruit and aroma, then it finishes with a long and assertive bitterness

Bottle at home. Clear orange golden with fizzy cream colored head. Lots of grapefruit and tropical fruits up front, actually the most grapefruit forward IPA I’ve had in a while. Then a long lasting bitter taste with grapefruit peel and spring herbs. Underneath all this a subtle sweet caramel and toast touch, but the hops are almost completely overpowering it. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Yummy!

Clear golden colour. Very well balanced taste where you can still taste the malts. Nice fruity bitterness.

Bottle from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Wednesday 30th April consumed at Hastings Touring Park, Hastings Saturday 3rd May 2014 Pours hazy orange/amber with a white head. A steady sweetness gives away to a lovely bitterness, quite a full heavy bittersweet beer in fact. Some pine ripples around the mouth, its good, a tiny bit flabby. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.4

Cask gravity at the Wandsworth beer fest preview night 26/03/14. Aroma is toffee sweets, vinegar, strawberry and spicy hop. Hazed golden pour with a lasting loose white head. Flavour is sweet caramel malt, pine resin. Lingering citrus lemon. Firm bitterness. Palate is thick and sticky. Slightly green I think.

Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Light amber with next to no head. It has a soured fruit taste and its strength is not evident.

Flaske 0,33l spandert av Rune og delt under rateseanse i H9 1 Okt 13. Mørkebrun. Litt uklar - men veldig uklar etter siste kvelling. Innbydende fruktaroma. Lite kullsyre. Innholdsrik fruktsmak. Blir veldig tørr etter hvert.

Bottle from the Bierkoning Amsterdam, courtesy of Kermis. Poured a clear medium copper with a thin white head. The aroma is huge boozy alcohol but it’s not that alcoholic! There’s loads of rich fruit, orange peel, a little metallic too. Quite an amazing nose. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a huge smooth floral metallic hop malt palate. Medium to full bodied with a long bitter finish. Quite an amazing beer really and very special. One for small quantities tho.
