A blast from the past, our old school IPA takes no prisoners, hopped right through the boil and dry hopped to death. Upfront it is all tropical fruit and aroma, then it finishes with a long and assertive bitterness

September 2013: 330 ml bottle conditioned, as Redwillow Ageless Double IPA, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Huge and lasting white head. Strong aroma of fruity American hops (esp. oranges), also notes of pine and sweetish crystal malts. Sweet flavour with plenty of crystal malts and American hops, notes of oranges, grapefruit and resin. Very bitter finish.

From bottle. The beer pours hazy loaded gold, worth very abundant foam. Actually, my bottle, after opening, has thrown out foam for quote some time, even after pouring some. Aroma is herbaceous. Body is medium. Taste is bitter, with a strong herbaceous and terrain feeling. Sweetness very low. Palate has persistent bitterness, with some stringency and stickiness. Nice, but too bitter for my preferences. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone

At bit to much toffee and a bit grassy to be a favorite in my book. Otherwise quite solid stuff.
Clear golden color with a fine white head. Quite strong aroma. Medium + body and a soft carbonatin. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Oily texture. Tropical, toffee malty, herbal/grassy, grapefruit hoppy and pine in the flavor

Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Very hazy gold. Messy, lasting, white head. Sweet, chewy malt, and sweet, chewy hop in equal measure. Notes of pine resin. Walk in the woods dankness. Notes of strawberry and banana. Taste is toffee sweet, turning resinous bitter. Full body. Soft fizz. Hop oiliness. Finishes long, juicy, resinous bitter. Great stuff.

(Draught at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 18 Feb 2016) Amber colour with dense, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with orange peel, dried apricots and resin. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, citrus, orange peel, grapefruit, marmalade and a generous citric, resiny bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Solid and well made DIPA with a generous hop character. Very nice.

Keg tap at CASK Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico. Amber/orange, hazy with a smattering of white head at the top. Muted aroma of pear drop and mango. Bittersweet taste leading to a bitter - albeit still balanced - finish. Long bitter aftertaste. Tropical fruit and spruce in the aftertaste. Competent and certainly enjoyable but less flavour and intensity than the best DIPAs have.

Bottle at Birrivico, Como, Bb feb 2016
The bottle is a slow gusher; in the glass, hazy red-amber color with large head. The aroma is quite original: fruity (peach, sweet grapes), and lightly funky, yeasty; floral. Some caramel flavor, fruity, strong bitterness, bitter oranges, but also a harsh character in the final, probably some unwanted fermentation in the bottle.
Controversial.
