A dark brown beige-headed beer. The taste is rather light sweet. A traditional beer with high fermentation level, produced in small quantities, using only natural ingredients: hops, yeast, water and roasted malt.

Almost black, opague. Some roasted malt and apple in the aroma. Just a bit acidic. Very sweet and sugary, grape sugar. Thin. Hints of roasted malt in the flavor are totally overwhelmed by the sugary sweetness and the traces of acidic sourness. I expected a totally different beer.

Bottle from a Carrefour in Bruges (I presume). Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of industrial milk chocolate, candi sugar, Coca-Cola, butterscotch, soap, even coriander perhaps, pancake, candy, soggy bread. Taste is medium to heavy sugary sweet, notes of industrial caramel & chocolate, syrupy too with vague fruitiness, giving it a Coca-Cola-like effect; light spicy bitter middle offers at least some balance, in the form of weird licorice though, coriander & 'mystery Cola spices'. Dryish, vaguely herbal hoppy finish, lingering brown sugar, toffee & soggy toast. Medium body, slick/sticky texture, fizzy carbonation. Way too sweet for its own good, not enough roastedness to give it a Stout character.

Erg goed.

28/12/2015 @home - 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Edelare. Very dark brown with massive head. Way too much carbonation. Nose is dark malts, licorice, Sugar. Taste is dark malts, some licorice very sweet. However the heavy carbonation is spoiling the taste. No roast, no coffee, no mocha, heavy carbonation ruining the taste experience, but can’t call it bad either

Bottle . Foam rises, but doesnt gush . Pours dark clear brown, enormously big white head . Smell is bit sweet , dark sugar . Taste is sweet, metallic . Not much going on accept for the metallic sweetness . reminds a lot to their tripel I’ve had earlier today ( also pure metallic ) . Simple, not complex. obviously not tasting as it would have been in the head of the brewer . Some fine touches like dark sugar, earthyness . Too high carbo , as expected . Again - just like the tripel - its obviously failed, but enjoyable in a weird way. It doesnt taste BAD , just not what you’d want from a stout or any beer in general
