Highly aromatic and sensual, this novel pale ale delivers a fresh hop flavor like no other brew. Its secret? Fresh hops piled into our boiling kettle just hours after their harvest. With many more of their essential oils intact, these “wet” hops add glorious notes of juicy, fruit to a lightly sweet and balanced brew. Best enjoyed fresh!

Shared by Todd at the meeting, thanks for the opportunity! Deep golden color juicy citrus with a hint of pine, light bready maltiness. Nice beer.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/10/2014. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, lime, pineapple, peach, mango, berry, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great complexity of bright/juicy citrus/tropical hops and light-moderate malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, lime, peach, pineapple, mango, berry, pepper, pine, herbal, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/lime zest, peach, pineapple, mango, berry, pepper, pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of bright/juicy citrus/tropical hops and light-moderate malt sweetness; with a great crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome wet hop pale ale. All around great complexity and balance of bright/juicy citrus/tropical hops and light-moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Draft at PP. Filtered orange-tan. Medium bodied, lots of floral hop character. Medium bodied, very well balanced. Smooth malt tones and pleasant, non-bitter hops. Well done.

Location: Cask-conditioned draft at the Rattle 'n Hum, 11/10/10
Aroma: The nose has some pine, citrus, grains, and herbs to it
Appearance: It pours a clear golden-orange color with a small off-white head
Flavor: The flavor is balanced, grainy malts, and some hoppy notes/bitterness as well
Palate: The body is light-medium, smooth, highly palatable, and quite clean
Overall Impression: Overall a very solid harvest style brew. It has a good feel to it, and it drinks really nicely/easily. Other then that it is solid stuff. Nothing special, just a well-made brew.

Tap at Barcade. Not quite as pale as I would like. Good, though. Perhaps I wasn’t expecting such hop/malt balance and it threw me off. I’ll need to try this brew again.

Tap at Blind Tiger - bright orange pour with a small head of loose, large bubbles - light bready/yeasty notes in the aroma, with some fairly sweet, almost citrusy fruity smells - quite sweet flavor, with a kind of orange marmalade quality to it - a metallic, acidic bitterness cuts through this, but I don’t detect a lot of hops - more malty/bready sweetness comes up from under this to help distract from the beers flaws - a decent apa.

I am surprised to see this one is an APA. Sampled on draft at Rivertowne Inn in North Huntingdon PA this beer poured a bright bronze color with a small yellow-white head. The aroma is crisp floral hops. The body is a bit thin and watery. The flavor is moderately strong bitter and floral hops with tangy sour malts and a bitter finish.
