500ml bottle. Pours red brown with a good head. Cherry, strawberry, caramel, orange, touch of black pepper, bittersweet finish. Really good.

At a tasting, thanks, stable bubbly of white head, light hazy very deep orange color, aroma of hay, manure and honey, flavor of jam, nuts, hay and manure, unpleasant sourness, a touch coarse sourness. Old and not good.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Lior D. Hazy amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, stale hops, toast. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, and bitter hops, citric, a bit stale. Could be fresher, but still decent and easy-drinking.

500ml bottle into schooner glass. Fresh pineapple/cream nose. Clear bronze beer with thin white head. Low carbonation. Flat cleansing mouthfeel, medium body. Finish is subdued pine needles, very late bitter lemon. An IPA that whispers, doesn’t shout. Very drinkable.

PET growler. Deep amber with a light beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, herbal lemons, toffee, passionfruit. Sweet sticky breadcrusts, a melange of citrus flavours, light tropical and spice touches. Surprisingly light bodied, a bit thin even. Finish leans just nicely towards dry. Nice, understated, nicely balanced.

A surprisingly understated beer considering it’s a 6% red ale. There is some of that classic red malt on the nose together with a little hops and a dusty scent. In the mouth there is very soft grapefruit, honey, nougat and a sherbet tingle on the tongue. A pleasant beer but not a challenging one. 750ml bottle from Tru Bru.
