Draft - Skunky piney hops. Clear copper with a rich white head. Fruity, pine and grapefruit. Light bitterness and very drinkable. Very nice and sessionable with tons of flavour. I love these guys.

12oz bottle pours with a clear amber colored body that supports a semi loose dirty white head of foam. The aroma is nice where roasted malts, lagery fruity esters such as red apples and raspberry candy all co-mingle together to further enhance the nose. The taste begins with a rush of roasted malts and pine to slightly resiny citrus hops. To midway the roasted malts are joined by lagery sweet fruity esters. Nice hop forward lager. I’m likin’ it.

Pours deep clear bright copper into a Sam glass. Creamy pancake head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing to coat surface. Clean toffee and citrus aromas. Medium bodied with meaty toffee upfront turning to resin and cranberry before the lasting resin finish.

Pours amber with a small head.Nose shows tropical fruit including melon and fruit confectionery alongside some sweet clean malt.More fruity hops as flavours with big confectionery notes. Also a fair whack of sweet clean malt before an aggressive but balanced bitterness enters.Could use more carbonation.

Bottle from Marcus. Pours translucent copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma is citrus hop. Med body or better. Flavor is citrus hop and some lightly roasty malt. Really hoppy, tho not all that bitter. Just goes to show that lagers don’t have to be "tasteless".

Daffodil, grapefruit, and cat urine nose, quite strong, fairly equal proportions of each. Cloudy dark amber, medium head. Marigold. Pow! Right in the kisser. Very intense but dissipates with just the right rapidity. Medium body, not hot, somewhat fizzy. Lilly finish. Masterful use of dry-hopping to bring out distinct floral and fruity hop notes. Stone is probably my favorite all around west coast brewery; Clown Shoes is becoming my favorite on the east coast. Premium lager just doesn’t seem to be an appropriate category for this beer. It’s what I would call an india style maerzen. Perhaps strong pale lager/imperial pilsner would be better?

On tap at the Southern New Hampshire Brewers Festival 7/27/2013 Clear amber color, light sweet pilsner malt with a hint of caramel and earthy floral hops. Nice lager glad I got to try it.
