From a 330ml bottle on 31/7/2015. Pours a very dark amber with a big fluffy head. The nose is sweet and malty - caramel and toffee, wuth some light yeast in the background. In the mouth, there’s more caramel and toffee malt, quite nutty and a little herbal. Finishes with a firm, satisfying, slightly grapefruity hop bitterness. The palate is creamy and carbonation moderate. This is a really tasty hoppy amber. Have tried three beers from these guys so far and all have been excellent.

330ml bottle into glass. Alcohol malt nose. Dark prune juice colour with soapy off white head. Bitter taste followed by dark chocolate finish. Alcohol warmth is present throughout. Good, not great.

(Bottle) Hazy brown with good off-white head. Aroma is rich toffee with citrus tang. Medium body, medium carbonation. Taste is rich dark toffee with some complex notes that I couldn’t place but added depth, with some nice bitterness - not aggressive bite, but good contribution to the flavours. Overall, a very good beer.

Draught as part of a tasting paddle at Harts Pub, Sydney, on July 16, 2013.As "44 American Amber Ale".Hazy copper to brown color, light brown head. Sweet, hoppy, roasted scent. Sweet, caramel, roasted, bitter, zest taste. Bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness.

Bottle, thanks to MrKennedy. Cloudy amber with a loose beige head. Aroma of caramel, hazelnuts, grapefruit, pine. Quite thin, surprisingly little presence. Some nuts and chocolate, somewhat weedy bitterness with some grapefruit. A little crude, but lively and pretty tasty.
