The Dr Tim's Traditional Ale was developed by the Chief Brewer of Coopers Brewery - Dr Tim Cooper. Naturally brewed like all Cooper's Ales, Dr Tim's is packaged in a specially designed can which allows the natural flavours to develop during secondary fermentation. Subtle fruity notes and balanced use of bittering hops, Dr Tim's can be enjoyed at all occasions.

375ml can into schooner glass. Pale amber beer with frothy thin white head. Super effervescent with many fine bubbles and floaties. Yeasty, slightly sour nose. Harshly zingy in the mouth. Fruity and bitter with a short tinny finish. A little banana evident right at the end. Not quite sure where this fits in the Coopers’ portfolio. Suburban/country football ground beer? Something to drink while you are doing something else. Perfectly drinkable though.

Can. Cloudy yellow with a modest white head that doesn’t last. Aroma is fruity with indistinct sweet and sour citrus, bread - smells just like a Coopers beer that’s a little bit brighter. Light-bodied, fairly high carbonation. Taste has some bready sweetness, citrus flavours that are as much sour as bitter. Similar to green one but a little less bready and the hops stand out a little more - which turned out to be a wash for me. Refreshing in a simple but lively way. Good ordinary beer.
