From a 330ml bottle on 14/12/2012. Pours a clear deep golden with a medium head. Has a big, sweet toffee and caramel aroma. Flavour wise, the toffee dominates, but there is also more caramel, a little butterscotch and a good dash of nuttiness. It finishes with a quite pronounced, long, slightly tart hop bitterness. This really is something quite different - not very much like either an American or English IPA. A very nice, quite distinctive drop.

Pours amber with a small head.Nose shows caramel, pine, apple pie, toffee and nutty notes. Also a vague lemon custard character, reminiscent of sorachi ace. A bit wierd. Some similar nutty notes as flavours, along with some grapefruit and light spicy notes.Perfectly enjoyable, not completely sold on Triskel though.

Bottle. Clear amber with a small white head that’s soon a coat. Aroma of flowers, slightly puddingy lemon, herbs, biscuit. Low carbonation. Light biscuity malt, flowers, lemon. Finishes dry and quite bitter with some herbal/ medicinal notes. Intriguing. English tasting apart from the hops, which are very different but somehow not jarring. [3.4] And second time around it’s more why not, but why? than intriguing.
