Draught at the brewery. Medium brown. A touch thin, but it’s toasty and has an accent of chocolate. Straightforward stout, but fairly light.

Pours black with a quickly fading head.Nos shows coffee, bready malt, toast, nutty notes and a soft burnt character.Flavours include more coffee, balanced roast and lightly burnt toast.Body feels a little watery.Very easy-drinking, more of a porter/brown ale.

Bottle. Dark brown with a fluffy beige head. Aroma of plums, licorice and coffee. Lightish bodied, rather fizzy. Taste is sweet and fruity with some mocha and a drying finish. OK, but not really my sort of thing.
